π A Mother-Daughter Story
The Old Pioneer Flea Market began with a simple question:
“If not now, when?”
We’re a mother and daughter who have always shared a love for vintage treasures, timeless stories, and the thrill of finding something forgotten and beautiful. When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, we decided to stop waiting and start building the dream we talked about for years.
That dream became The Old Pioneer Flea Market — a place filled with heart, history, and hometown spirit.

ποΈ Built With Passion
We opened our doors with the goal of creating more than just a place to shop. We wanted to build a community where:
- Vendors could showcase their creativity and collections
- Shoppers could take a nostalgic walk through the past
- Families could make memories together
With over 140 vendors and 15,000 square feet of unique finds, there’s always something to explore — from antique furniture and glassware to handmade goods and repurposed gems.
---
π€ Community-Driven
Located in Jackson, Missouri, our market is about more than transactions. It’s about connections — between people, generations, and stories. We support small businesses, local makers, and fellow lovers of all things old and wonderful.

πͺCome Be a Part of the Story

Bobbie Jo Catchcart (AKA "Momma" AKA "MaMa" AKA "Aunt B")

About Bobbie Jo Cathcart
Bobbie Jo Cathcart is the heart and soul of The Old Pioneer Market. A proud mother and a fierce fighter, Bobbie Jo puts family above all else. Her journey through breast cancer has been nothing short of courageous — a battle she’s faced with grit, grace, and a deep sense of purpose. It was during this fight that the dream of opening the market took root, reminding us both that life is too short to wait for “someday.” Bobbie Jo balances a full-time job with her work at the market, where she brings her love for crafting, hunting, and thrifting into everything she touches. Her creativity, resilience, and passion for vintage treasures make her not just a co-owner, but the spirit behind our dream come true.
Ashley Foster (AKA "Momma" AKA "Toots")

About Ashley Foster
Ashley Foster is the engine that keeps The Old Pioneer Market running. A devoted wife and proud momma, Ashley pours her heart into her family — and into the dream she’s building day by day. When she’s not cheering on a baseball game or unwinding with her crochet hook, you’ll almost always find her at the market (more often than at home!). As co-owner and manager, she wears every hat imaginable — social media manager, cashier, cleaner, organizer, vendor, spokesperson, greeter, therapist, security… you name it. Her passion for vintage finds and her commitment to growing the market into something special is only matched by the love she has for her family and community.

Sharon Freese
Sharon has been with us since the market first opened and wears a few different hats around here. She helps out when she can and also runs her own vendor booth where she sells Skinny Mixes, Myra Bags, Montana West purses, and her daughter’s handcrafted resin creations—plus a mix of other fun finds. Outside the market, she enjoys spending time with her miniature Australian shepherd, Marley, who keeps her on her toes.

Lisa is a true spitfire with a heart of gold. She's fun, full of energy, and one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Whether she's helping out around the market or sneaking off for “just one more try” at the coin dozer machine, Lisa brings a spark wherever she goes. She’s now joining us a couple of days a week on staff, all while managing her two vendor spaces—one filled with stylish denim and clothing, and the other packed with a unique mix of vintage and antique treasures that are just as bold and eclectic as she is.

Merideth Steely
Merideth is one of the kindest, most soft-hearted souls you’ll ever meet. She’s the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought. A quiet but constant presence at the market, Merideth is always looking for ways to lend a hand—whether it’s jumping in for a last-minute shift, quietly fixing little things, or simply being there when we need her most (even if we don’t realize it yet). She’s a devoted mother who pours love into her children and extends that same care and warmth to our entire market family.

Laura Chimienti
Laura is a firecracker in the best way—outgoing, sharp, and guaranteed to make you laugh while getting things done. With top-notch customer service skills and a natural way with people, she’s one of our biggest cheerleaders—both for the market and our vendors. She brings bold ideas, fresh perspective, and a whole lot of sass to everything she does. Whether she’s working the counter on Tuesdays or popping in to help keep things in shape, Laura is a leader, a friend, and the kind of teammate who makes work a whole lot more fun (and fabulous).
